With half of 2009 over already, it's time to start working on the next Nature Calendar!

How do I submit art to the calendar?
Just send a note with links or thumbnails to a few of your best nature-related deviations. One piece per artist will be added to the collection titled, "2010 Calendar Entries". Once we get a calendar entry thread up on the forums, you can submit your art there, as well. Edit: this year, to give everyone a better chance of getting in, all submissions that follow the rules as stated below will be accepted

Rules regarding submissions:

Any medium or style is accepted as long as it is 2D and static (we have to be able to print it as a calendar, you know!).

They must depict nature in some way, hence the name, "Nature Calendar"

All animals should be wild species. Zoo photos are fine if you can't tell it's in captivity, but no pets!

No mature art; this is a family-friendly calendar!

Your entries should have a landscape (horizontal) orientation, with demensions greater than 1650x1275 px. If the deviation was submitted as a smaller size or with a watermark/signature, you can e-mail the original file to soyrwoo@yahoo.com


How will the pages be chosen?
Project judges will vote on deviations from the "2010 Calendar Entries" folder.
Deviants whose art make it into the calendar will be sent a note.

About the Project:

The Nature Calendar Project is a collaboration between artists around the world who wish to save the environment. The annual calendar consists of 12 pieces, each by a different deviant. The product is sold through the DeviantArt Prints Program, and the profit is then donated to the World Wildlife Fund, an organization dedicated to save endangered species and their habitat.
